Not that POP is no more, but that the solid rock of virtue it once was, clasped tightly in the hands of the few, has been replaced by its fecal fragments who nest inside and feed upon the hopeless ideals of young children. Pretenders to the throne, BRITNEY SPEARS, JENIFER LOPEZ, JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE, satisfy the iconic charade that barely maintains order in the otherwise disrupted CULTURE ECONOMY, but they are only figureheads of an era now past.

| Filastine
Filastine creates music and live sets that wreck genre, charting a new sonic map through a synchronicity of hiphop, batería, ragga, dialogue, breakcore, and international obscura. Filastine began operating in 2004 after years of preparation building beats, recording with collaborative musicians, gathering noise with binaural microphones, sampling cassettes from street stalls, and studying percussion from Morocco to Brazil. A musical immediatism permeates his songs and mixes, which might feature contributions from rappers in Habana, or the ambience of a Delhi street corner, placed into a construction of chopped-up beats and thick bass. The result is a deterritorialization of sound that embraces the intense, wherever it’s origin, with disregard for the ghettoes of electronic music. In late 2004 dj Rupture's Soot Records released the Filastine single, Judas Goat / Palmares. His Live set will Feature guest mc Subzero Permafrost and butoh artist d.k. Pan.
